November Guest Roast!

November is here. And the year is coming to an end. As the cold settles in and the scarcity of daylight promotes a bad temper, the Host Café team pretends to help boost your mood. What better than a sip of hot, strong and delicious coffee to get you in the right disposition for the day? Probably a lottery ticket or finding the love of your life, but let´s be pragmatic. At Host, we are very serious about our coffee. So we make sure that our guests have the best possible coffee experience by supporting independent ethical roasters.

Joining the Host Café team for the rest of 2019 we have a very special guest roast. I´ll give you a hint, or three: Two guys, a coffee den and an unparalleled ambition.

For our last Guest Roast of the Year we are thrilled to collaborate with Brew Coffee Plus!

In April 2019, founders Enea and Matthew combined their love for coffee with their 18 years of experience in the industry originating the Brew Coffee Plus brand. Based on an industrial unit in Streatham, where the team of two brews their high-quality coffee, they aim to show that unravelling the complexity of coffee can be a rich and rewarding experience.
By supporting the production of ethically traded coffee, they are able to present a range of charismatic roasts from Kenya to Colombia, all with high traceability.

Their Roast Philosophy:
"In all of our roasts, we seek to give a true representation of where our coffees come from at the source. The land upon which they were grown, how they were processed by the producer and the species that creates their genetic code - these are all important aspects we need to take into consideration when developing different roast profiles. This is so those who experience our coffees get a unique experience (…). In order to keep improving on our craft, we always keep an open mind but stay true to our core principles and understanding so we can deliver results time and time again."

The Collaboration:

·        We will be serving their Colombia roast as AeroPress filter coffee.

·        Selling 250g bags of Finca San Pascual (Colombia).
