September Guest Roast!

Our September guest roast is here!

Since you seem to like our new tradition, we are making it our mission every month to bring UK’s best coffee at Host.  We are collaborating with social enterprises and companies that work with disadvantaged communities. In this way, you know that by drinking a cup of coffee you can contribute to the wellbeing of another human.

This month’s hero is… Old Spike Roastery!

This social enterprise opened its doors in 2015 in Peckham and has changed many lives since. Their focus is on helping people experiencing homelessness by training and employing them. This method allows people to master a skill that makes them employable and gives them the confidence to make a revolution in their lives.

Old Spike is partnering with Change Please towards the same goal. As Richard Robinson owner and director of Old Spike said: “Old Spike sits at the premium end of the coffee market in the speciality sector with Change Please working much more broadly across the mass market. Our focus here is on roasting our own coffee [..] Change Please focuses on supply to large corporates and work much more closely on job creation through various CP outposts across the UK”.
